The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MOALD) and Helvetas-Nepal, on 2018 December 11 for implementation of  MOALD  led program “Agriculture Sector Development Programme (ASDP)” which is being implemented in all 10 districts of Karnali Province from FY 2018/19, with the support of the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD). 

On this event, on behalf of MOALD , the Joint Secretary of Planning and International Cooperation and Coordination Division of MOALD, Dr. Yogendra Kumar Karki and on behalf of Helvetas-Nepal, Country Director Dr. Bharat Kumar Pokhrel had signed the MOU.

Programme Coordinator of ASDP, Mr. Rajendra Prasad Bhari had presented about ASDP and summary of the MOU on the event. Ms. Louise Macdonald, Country Program Manager of IFAD for Nepal, wished for successful partnership and program implementation. Mr. Prakash Mathema, Secretary of MOALD (Livestock Development) and chief guest of the event thanked the IFAD for continuous support to Nepal. Dr. Yubak Dhoj G.C., Secretary of MOALD (Agriculture) and the chairperson of the event wished for the better partnership during the entire program period and thanked to the IFAD for its financial supported provided to the Government of Nepal for the agricultural development in the country. The event was facilitated by Mr. Shankar Sapkota, Senior Agriculture Economist of the MOALD.
